I have to say Sugar Ray... Ray was naturally bigger then Floyd,(he was able to move up to light heavyweight & won a title), Ray had better offense, Ray fought & proved himself against better competition(Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Benitez, & etc.), Floyd's defense was better but Ray's defense was also good, I believe Ray was quicker, and he has a proven heart(It's been plenty of times Ray dug deep & won).

Ray definitely would win. Floyd wouldn't hit hard enough to keep Ray off of him and Ray would break through Floyd's defense with fast, hard punches of his own. And like you stated, Ray could be very good defensively when he needed to be. Sugar Ray would takes this one by unanimous decision by pressing Floyd and landing the harder, more effective punches. Floyd's terrific defense may keep him from getting knocked out, but he won't win it. Ray all the way.

I think you already summed it up. SRL had very good power, but no-one remembers that because he was in the same era as Hearns and Hagler. What really separated SRL from the other fighters of his era was that his endurance allowed him to maintain punching power into the later rounds, with his lake KO victories against Hearns and Benitez. And I think a hotly contested fight between SRL and FM would start to turn SRL's way around round 10 as Ray pulls away with knockdowns in the late rounds, earning a decision or TKO.
