I couldn't cook either about 2 years ago. Watch a lot of food network. Especially Rachel Ray, because she cooks and chops right in front of you so you can see what she's doing, it's not all pre-prepared so you see the whole meal being cooked. Read cookbooks, search the internet for websites related to cooking.

Take a course somewhere!I'm in highschool and currently taking a food nutrition class.I didn't realize I'm actually a better cook then I thought.Used to never cook and now I'm starting to enjoy it.I mean, what other class can you take where you have to do a lot of work and then get a nice reward at the end? Most others you just get a number, letter,or piece of paper.

Learn how to use a oven. Read the instructions on the back of frozen food. Follow said instruction. Trial and error to correct cooking times. Better then take-out all the time.

Learn. You can cook, you just haven't done it yet. Get the Better Homes & Gardens cookbook. It's a good one. You'll learn that you can cook good food. Otherwise you're stuck with a life of fast food and spending too much money dining out. It's not that hard, trust me.

find a partner that can cook, or take a basic food cooking class at your local college. Also if you have friends, or their mothers, sisters, etc, can show you some good recipe ideas for fast and tasty meals. Then there is always good old kraft dinner and hot dogs

Get a cook book. Through some meat on the BBQ and get some pre washed salad and a bottle of salad dressing. It's not hard to fix a meal.

You could order it and have it delivered.
Or you could be an avid watcher of foodnetwork. It has some shows that have simple recipes you can make. After a while you may be looking for recipes that aren't as simple.
Anyone can learn to cook. If you can boil water, you are able to learn. It may be certain things like baking but you can go beyond baking if you really want to.
Here is a recipe that my mom used to make when I was a kid:
Chicken and rice
Preheat oven to 400*F
any cut-up chicken or boneless chicken breasts
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
2 envelopes of onion soup mix
uncooked rice
Line a cake pan with aluminum foil.
Measure out your rice, I believe that it is 1/2 cup per serving of chicken. For each 1/2 cup of rice add 1/2 cup of water. Empty one envelope of onion soup mix and cream of mushroom soup , mix slightly.
Lay your chicken pieces, spread cream of celery over it and sprinkle on the 2nd envelope of onion soup mix.
Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
If chicken is thawed, bake for 1 hour but if chicken is still frozen bake for 2 hours.

Honestly, anyone can cook if they can follow directions. That is all a recipe is, directions to make what ever you wish to eat. The really important thing is to follow the recipe exactly till you learn how to improvise.
I like Rachael Rays recipes in her magazine. They are easy and quick. Look for recipes with only a few ingredients to start with.
