In the true form of the expression "high maintenance" means (Needy). Can't take control of their own lives etc.

Well first of all,
We gotta look at what the guy is getting for his salary. Now we gotta look at what the girl's demands are. What does she like to buy? Shoes? Clothes? Jewellery? Is she brand conscious? Does she appear snobbish? Does he think he could afford to date a girl like that? Is she over the guys budget? Is she being selfish by asking too much? Is there a need for everything she asks for? If the guy is rich and he can support all her fancy stuff, she's lucky. If a guy feels that spending all that money on her is not worth it or he feels she's just plain greedy. Then I'd say she's high maintenance. Hope that helped. Take care.

when she ask's you to do little stupid things, over and over again. If she is sensative and crys over everything, and has a ton of needs that is complete bull****. lol
