I am a strong believer in spirtiualism, and we believe that angels are something that have never been human, nor will they ever. They are sexless, and their wings are coloured to how high up spiritually they are. They are there to guide and protect us through our lives, and when we cross over they help us to adjust to the next life.

Angels were created by God to fit His purpose. They are heavenly beings who never actually walked this planet. People do not die on this earth only to become our personal Angel to look over us.

Honestly, from what I understand, they are God's messengers. Most of the time, when they are mentioned in the Bible, they are giving someone a message from God.
