If you believe in the phrase, "better to have expericened love & lost it, then to never have loved at all"... then of course you should charish the memories - all of the good ones! I don't think it neccessarily applies to just "first loves" but to all those you've loved! I've taken the bad memories of one into another relationship. Not a good idea for the new "relationship." I think my favorite memory of the love of my life, was acting goofy in Wal-Mart, in the car, at home, in the bedroom... it was all the fun times of just being able to let loose, be yourself, & have fun!
Thanks for an uplifting question!

I enjoy the memories of while we were together, but I'd say one of the most memorable moments was our 3-hour long round of UNO that we played a week or so before we were together. Sounds silly, but I think that's what may have cemented our interest in each other. After all, crazy things happen when you're trying to end a game and just can't seem to make it end.
I don't like remembering the circumstances of falling in and out of love, though. When he confessed that he loved me, he knew I had a boyfriend. However, I wanted to be out of that relationship, so I broke up with him and let the new guy have me. It went very well for about six months. As the eighth month began, I met his other girlfriend, who had dated him for almost a month. I guess what goes around comes around...

The first time I fell in love it was the oddest feeling I had ever had. It took me MONTHS to figure out. Sadly, he took my patience as disinterest and decided to leave. There wasn't much bad about the time we were together though. I don't like to think about it now, but I did learn a lot from him that I needed at that very time in my life. The memories I enjoy the most is the long talks we had late at night on the phone. No guy had ever called to say good night to me and stay on the phone number I was ready to fall asleep. One day, I am certain I will find someone who will make me feel that way again.

Oh, I just LOVE thinking about my first love! Somehow I forgot the pain the breakup left in me (and the pain was immense, as I can remember, it left me crying and desperate for days), and remembered the kisses, the little nothings and whispers, and I remember the little girl waking up in the morning, turning on the radio and singing, and being the happiest I've ever been, although nauseaus and insomniac.
Geez, this question got me smiling, really :-) thanks for making my day by reminding me there is this wonderful thing of first love! I'll cherish it forever!
