from a mature mans point of view ... he shows her by the things he does and says such as opening doors for her, leaving little notes, sending flowers just to say i love you. He takes her on romantic dates as opposed to just hanging out with her with friends and family all the time. He takes her shopping for those special little outfits that make her feel special and sexy.

The same as when a woman loves a man.
It usually takes a while, and you usually have to go through some tests to see. Sometimes there is an immediate connection that is obvious and shared by both, but that is pretty rare, and still needs to be tested.
Physical sparks that fly as a good indicator of compatibility, but not necessarily love.
You will feel friendship first of all. You want to be together as much as you can, and not just for physical reasons. Love can't exist without this first step. The friendship will build in shared experiences and communication. You will fill in each other's blank spots. You will feel and express affection, care, compassion, sacrifice, giving, forgiveness, and a certain undefinable quality that you know is love.
Love will grow. It needs to grow or it dies. Love will be shared, and for a couple it needs to be expressed and felt by both parties. Love by one person toward another, without love being returned is really more of a philosophical or spiritual concept, not the kind of love that makes for solid long term relationships.
There is always a part of love that is hard to define, but you always know. The love experience, or the hope for a love experience, is the only thing that makes life worthwhile. Love experienced defines heaven, and love denied defines hell.

I have just married the man of my dreams. He was different than most of the guys I dated. He called me everyday, he took me places and just wanted to spend quality time with me and I didn't know how to handle it in the beginning becuase I wasn't used to this but when you find the right one- you won't have to ask you will know. The things you desire in a man and also those little things hidden deep in your heart that you want in a man but sometimes can't put into words-he will have all those qualities and some. He was fun to be with and I could let my hair down and be myself and he accepted all of me (my faults) and I did the same. Its wonderful and I hope every woman gets to experience it at least once in life......good luck

Well for me he has to show that he has my best interest at heart.
My experience: I am a university student and I was going to get kicked out my classes if I didn't pay off my tuition, my mother has no money and i had no one to turn to but my boyfriend he gave me $53,000 (JM dollars) and that my diligent readers is one sign of love. A man does not give away his money that easily on less there is love.

my husband, before we were married and still now years later, was and is very protective of me(not possessive) and won't let me carry too many bags of groceries, brushes the snow off my car, helps out around the house and then the obvious, he would tell me how much I meant to him and he showed some signs of the fear of losing me in the beginning...something no other guy had ever done. i guess it was so many little things and you just know when they are in it for real
and Shirley H/Nancy no one will ever seriously love you if your a whore

His eyes sparkle when he looks at you and even when your boring and married your stomach flips when he walks in the room.
I guess as well the fact we hate being apart for more than a few hours.

For me its thinking about her all the time, wnating to be with her and talk to her. I would think it would be easy since after this "love" drug wears off guys go back to normal which is eating, tv, wanting sex and playing with their toys.
