I understand how it works but can someone give me real life examples of using the method? For example, it is anything like this scenerio?

I am at one end of the room, I call my dog and she gets up to come to me. Is it at that point I click and give a treat (as she starts to get up)

I am currently click training my dogs right now. I don't click/treat until they come to me. I will wait until they come right up to me, I never reach out to give them the treat. One of the best ways to train your dog to come to you is to call her and tell her to come when she is already on her way to you. It can be tricky and annoying to carry the clicker everywhere you go, but it really worked well for me. One of my dogs doesn't respond to voice commands either, so we had to use that method to trick her into coming to us.

I've tried to click train my dogs before and it didn't work at all. I wouldn't recomend it but if it works for you than thats great.

You would give the click and treats once she comes to you, once she is right in front of you, then you treat and click her.

Just like if you told her to sit, as soon as her bum touches the ground you click and treat.

I tried the clicker I hated it. I just speak clearly and do it repeatly in a quiet place so that i keep their attention and my boxers learn quickly and easily.
