Has the church been such a poor example that we have turned people from Christ?

No. All God requires of us is that we speak His Word in gentleness and truth. The Holy Spirit does the rest.
There are "Many Churches" but there is only One True God.
There will be no good excuse for those who reject Christ Jesus.
He comes before any church.
The church is a place where we worship.
Christ Jesus is the God we worship.
People are responsible for their own decisions.
God will judge us all for what we believed about HIM.
Not for what we believed about the church.
Good Question. God Bless You....Peace.

Yes, you are. I don't think you guys realize just how much you turn people off of your religion by your negative behavior and the lousy way you treat those who are different. You attack, belittle, and insult anyone who doesn't follow what you believe, heck you Christians even attack other fellow Christians who have a different take on the bible! So yes, in general, Christians set an extremely poor example and you wonder why people don't want to be like you.

I completely agree with Autumn as I have had very similar treatment from Christians.

No , they are responsible for their own decisions. Not all churches set bad examples, you have to search for the right ones. If you are a true Christian you know what Gods teachings and laws are and if they are saying something different then you should know to stay away.

We've been told to go and tell people about Jesus, so we're responsible for if and how we do that, but we're not responsible for how they respond. That bit's between them and God. If we've been setting a poor example by not living as God wants us to, then we're definitely responsible for that, but we're responsible for our own lives, not the lives of others.

Yes you are. I want to thank the Christian community for showing me more hate than I've ever received from any other group. Thank you for the nights of endless tears, thank you for my broken nose, thank you for the hate notes in my locker at school, thank you for calling me an abomination. Because in the end, all you've done is show your true colors, and make me more strong.

Oh, get over yourselves. Rejecting the propaganda of the Christian Right is not a rejection of Christ. There are plenty of us quietly following His teachings, and no one knows about us because we don't parade our beliefs in public.

You have been told "go and preach the good news" not sell it. say what you have to say and then be gone with you.

thats why christianity and other branches of religion like christianity are so annoying. they feel like its in their best interest to convert everyone and their moms. they dont know when to stop!!
