I am a us citizen and my husband lives in Nepal. My petition for I130 for alien relative just got approved. I was very surprised because it took less than 90 days!

What is the next step?

I don't think he has to wait for a visa number because he is coming over as a non immigrant..

I want answers from professionals or people that have gone through this ONLY!!

I don't want people guessing or copy/ pasting off the visa site..

I have read all that..

I am looking for REAL answers..

Thanks!!

I've been through this, but I immigrated from the UK. He will have to file a lot of paperwork, which the processing embassy will send him. The embassy will also send him a list of other documents. that may include police reports and inoculation certificates. There are different rules for every country. You should find out which embassy will process the application and take a look at their website. For me, the London Embassy's website had a wealth of information. For instance, it told me which inoculations I would need and I was able to deal with those more cheaply and more conveniently than if I had waited until my Embassy appointment. It will also give guidance on what forms are, and are not acceptable in support of the application. Part of the process is verifying identity. In the UK that can be achieved by a birth certificate. It is not always so easy in other countries.

In time, he will get an appointment at the embassy. Again, he will receive localized information from the processng embassy. You are not required to be present at this appointment. If he is approved he will get his visa that day. Technically, he could leave straight for the airport once he gets the visa but it is good for one entry to the USA at any time during the next six months.

There is lots more once her gets here, but you can worry about that later.

The I-129 became no longer needed when you're employing for an immigrant visa. it ought to were filed with the I-one hundred thirty to grant you a fiance visa and finished the adjustment of prestige interior the U. S.. you're in all probability to get the immigrant visa only as quickly and save money. Your husband must be receiving a request from the nationwide Visa center quickly with a request for a processing value and affidavit of help. After that the petition is shipped to the U. S. embassy/consulate the position you're to save on with for the visa. you'd be despatched a verify record of what's critical for the visa appointment .
