Black women use chemical relaxers that chemically straighten the hair. Once your hair has been chemically straightened you would have to grow the chemicals out which can take a year or so depending on how much hair you have. Chemically straightened hair is weaker so you'll have to keep your hair well-conditioned and moisturized.

Definitely go to a salon and ask what your best options are, maybe a really great stylist could straighten your hair without chemicals.

You could purchase a relaxer from a drug store or beauty supply store. Depending on the length of your hair, you may need 2. The cost in less than $10 for one kit. It has instructions inside on how apply it. You usually have to repeat the process in about 6 weeks.

If you haven't done before, it may be best to go to a salon near you. The process is called a relaxer. Good luck.

Do not buy relaxer (for black) from store if you are white. Relaxer does straighten hair but they are very very strong chemical. If you do it wrong, and you will, then your hair will be very damaged and never be right again. Go to salon. Ask them if they do straight perm. If you cannot find one in your local, then go to either japanese or korean hair salon. They use milder chemical that are imported and are experienced. Many Asian do straigt perm (They don't get that kind of straight hair just because they are asian).
i am asian and used to sell beauty product.

CHEAPEST WAY IS TO GET A PERM FROM THE STORE AND USE THAT. GO BY THE DIRECTIONS, JUST DON'T ROLL IT ON ANY ROLLERS AND YOU'LL HAVE NICE STRAIGHT HAIR, ENJOY. OR YOU COULD ALWAYS GO TO THE BEAUTY SHOP, GIVE THEM A CALL AND SEE WHAT THEY CHARGE.
