why? Because that's the source of religion narrow ethnic confabulations.
A Universal God would have overwhelmed the world with a powerful message disseminated in ONE SHOT, SIMULTANEOUSLY TO ALL ETHNIC GROUP AND CORNERS OF THE EARTH. That's just common sense how a divinely inspired message would be delivered

good vs. evil. Instinct vs. intellect. nurture vs. nature. hardware vs. software. I think it will turn out they all mean the same thing. Proofs require two minds, at least. Therefore I don't believe there are ANY universal proofs. Not even 2x2. ( I had my own Pavlov's dog that taught me the mind is a liar).
How's this for universality? I saw a beast rise out of the sea 2,000 years before Darwin did. I saw another one come out of the caves and drop bombs. I knew he was made of carbon 12, 6 protons, 6 neutrons, 6 electrons.

C. S. Lewis once wrote, in "That Hideous Strength" that on occasion God reissues his message. It may be that we are living in a time of reissue, and the impulse to universality has a new meaning in the "global village."

I once heard a story of a man surrounded by difficulties in his community. War, sickness, crime, poverty all ravaged his world. He cried out "God! Why don't you send help!"

God answered, "I did. I sent you."
