And you?
The Kingdom of GOD IS! Today! Now! IS of Spirit and IS Heavenly! Only that which IS of Spirit, IS Real, IS Forever!

quite obvious that while in this world a believer is to bear witness to The Truth midst the lies and deception that are the systems of death and destruction which are of this wicked world ;-( and "capitalism" and "religion" joined together are the number one destroyers of Creation(earth, air, water, creatures, Truth, Peace, Love,,,etc,,,)
the question was "why do "christians" embrace "capitalism"" not why "capitalism" is better than the other systems of destruction or why "capitalism" is....... why do "christians" embrace "capitalism"?

Because communism doesn't work.
History has proven this time after time. When people own their own property, and make their own way, all of society benefits.
Look at those nations and groups that embrace communism, and you will see people who have nothing to strive for, and are often oppressed by their "benefactors" who rule over them.
When the Pilgrims first moved to this continent, they had a collective storehouse, and everyone had a common purse. People hoarded food, they didn't perform their chores well, and the community nearly perished. But, when each family had to go its own way, providing for itself, and had to trade with others for things they needed, the whole community thrived.
Look at the former Warsaw Pact. They "survived" for seventy years, and then crumbled under the weight of the system. It couldn't sustain itself. The common phrase of the people was "As long as they pretend to pay us, we'll pretend to work."
Capitalism, while not perfect, at least restores a person's self-worth. If they desire to live, they must work. When they provide a product or service that people want, they thrive. If they don't, they become impoverished. It is all about personal responsibility.
The government should not be your caretaker. And although capitalism isn't specifically mentioned in the Bible, its principles are evident. "If anyone doesn't want to work, he shouldn't eat." (II Thessalonians 3:10)

God is the one and only true God. Money is not. If we worship money, if we idolize it, we are turning our backs against God and seeking protection and trust from our money. A grave Sin.
Of course nowadays we all need to work to get a paycheck to buy food, clothes, supplies and a shelter. We need the essentials. We have created a society in which we have to have money to buy the essentials. No one cuts down trees and builds their homes any longer. People hunt and fish for food but no we have to buy a license and supplies in order to do so. In the beginning God gave us all that we needed. It is us that changed the rules. We created money and created the economy. If we don't us money to buy things, we are then forced to steal things.
Don't blame Christianity or any other religion for the economy. History shows us that it was the pagans that created the money system. Israelites just helped their neighbors when needed without expecting anything in return. Indians and some early settlers here used the barter system. Maybe we should return to that. It might eliminate pride and envy.

Jesus Himself used the parable of the talents which was the same as money and showed that the one who used it to make more money was the faithful one. Even our money today belongs to the Lord. Besides capitalism is the best system for everyone. Even the poor in capitalism are richer than the poor in any other system.

Should 'money' be First in 'Christian's' lives presently? No.
Is money a tool for doing God's will currently? Yes (tithing amongst other things).
Do 'Christians' put money(capitalism) ahead of God in this country now? That is a matter between them and God.

We serve God and try to live by the bible, especially the 10 commandments. It costs a lot of money to build churches, pay the utilities and the help. Most churches support missionaries and some but air time and camera equipment to help spread the gospel. The bible instructs us to tithe and give offerings, this helps grow the kingdom of God.

Christ Jesus is the Messiah. If He chooses to bless me with riches, in order to further His kingdom here on earth, I say:
Thank you Jesus, let your will be done.
If He chooses to have me live in poverty, I say:
Thank you Jesus, let your will be done.
However God chooses to use me, I am thankful, knowing full well that one day I will have everything, because of Christ Jesus.
Why do you not understand scripture?
God wants to bless us. Malachi 3:10 says:
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have enough room enough for it.
God says to "Test Me" in this.
If your lack of faith keeps you from receiving Gods blessings in your life, so be it.
If you choose to step out in faith, and believe God and take Him at His word, and be blessed because of this, so be it.
God will not force His blessings on anyone.
Believe His Word, or reject it and suffer loss.
God does not give us money to spend on frivolous things. He blesses us this way so that we can have joy in our heart, in helping the poor, the sick, the lame, continuing His legacy here on earth. God also is a rewarder for those who follow His Word.
Use His blessings wisely, and He will continue to increase your worldly possessions. Job is a good example of this, he patiently endured his suffering and then God made him more wealthy than he was before his trial started. Many instances in the Bible, where God gave wealth and splendor to those who obeyed His Word. Solomon is another good example, he obeyed God and when asked what he wanted most in the world, he replied: "Wisdom" What did God do? He gave him wisdom and much riches and wealth. God is a rewarder of those who obey him. God Bless You....Peace.

All material things should be used in the service of God. We cannot renounce money falsely, saying it is evil. Rather, we should use the money to propogate God consciousness. Then, it becomes spiritual. People are worshipping money, thinking they can be happy. But money can't bring them happiness. We can see that the wealthy are suffering the same miseries as we are, but they are thinking that they are not. In the Bhagavad-Gita, God says, "Abandon all varieties of religion, and surrender unto me".

Capitalism is sort of a form of freedom. The bible doesn't ever say that money is bad or evil.....that is a common misconception, that is says money is the root of all evil. What it actually says, is that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. There is a big difference. Love of money, is serving money. Having money, is surviving.
