Hi!
The best thing is to constantly talk about this, with children, your peers and elders. I would better have people discuss it and practice it, rather than advocating it.
The next thing is: practice it as soon as you get a chance! How? Here's how: The next time you see a wrapper/polybag/plastic waste on the road - pick it up and drop it at the nearest wast basket. MAKE SURE you are seen doing that. I will tell you that THIS does make a difference - and the shock and surprise in people seeing you do that, makes them do it next time.
Let's do it! I REALLY want everybody to read this. PRACTICE the above and see the difference. For yourself. Please!!

Spit and urine are hardly the big pollutants and, as was said previously, they are biodegradable since they are biological products. You'd be amazed at how soon you can drink water that had sewage in it by allowing plants and trees to clean it.
Most pollution is caused by consumers although many people point the finger at big business. If consumers would quit consuming (plastics to name one) many of the hazardous things they buy regularly much of the environmental concerns we see would simply vanish.
I see people throw cigarette butts out all the time. Walk through any town in America and show me one that has no cigarette butts lining the streets/curbs/right of way and I'll show you one out of 100,000. Personally, I'd like to see these people have to walk around picking up 100 cigarette butts and having to eat each one until they choked. But I'm kind of a tough approach guy.

Just as someone has said, these are biodegradable and not the potential pollutants. The potent one are those which arise from over-industrialization and nuclear testing. What is actually required is to take them to a reasonable limits. Love the Nature, don't try to overpower it unscrupulously. Otherwise the Nature has its own crude ways to curb you down. Let good sense prevail among the humans.

Spitting, urinating, defacating, etc. is not as much a problem as other solid waste (e.g. paper, plastic, bottles, cans). Spit and urine mostly evaporates in minutes and doesn't create lasting pollution. Animals are constantly "polluting" in this way--it actually adds nutrients to the environment. I'd be more apt to make fines for littering (cigarette butts, etc.).

well i wish there is a fine for efficating in the roads and bylanes in india, but with the population in India and no good facilities for the majority it will be difficult to implement fines etc. we can find some clenliness zones where what you say can be implemented. I am more scared of the deforestation and loss of forest cover in india in future or for the world on the whole

"The one and only way to stop environmental pollution is to go back to primitive times and live like primitives".
I am saying this with lot of sadness because whom can we stop in polluting our environment? Apart from air, water and land pollution has not Space been polluted? In the name of industrialisation to modernity to arms race to space exploration we have wrecked havoc against nature. The more we destroy nature the more the pollution.
Therefore, eco-restoration is very important to make this planet free from all forms of pollution.

Stop driving fossil fuel burning vehicles, and stop turning on electrical appliances and lights. That would be the ultimate solution. Is it practical? Doubtful, therefore, alternative sources of power for these needs must be found and soon, we are running out of time.
