From your start menu, select Run, type msconfig, and uncheck those startup programs you want to disable.

Start->run->msconfig
This will bring up a utility that allows you to choose what starts on boot and what requires manual start-up. As most of the programs that force your computer to load them on startup are written by sneaky cumbubbles, you might also want to download the crap cleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com/
and it'll clean the traces left in your registry by the programmers to override your chosen settings and reset the program back to autoloading. Hope this helps.

You can type "msconfig" in Run dialog box in Start menu and uncheck it. Or you can go to C: drive->Documents and Settings->%Your User Name%orAll User->Stat Menu->Programs->Start up. And You can delet the icon of a Program that POP up on windows start up.

Go to the start menu click run and type in "msconfig" w/o quotes. Then you go to the startup tab and uncheck anything you don't want running at startup. Click ok and reboot.
