he doesnt love her anymore or anything, but still they went out for like 2 and a half years, like 5 years ago...
should i mention it, ignore it, talk about it with him, give him some space, or what?

Give him his space. If you see him, be civil and nice, dont bring up the subject unless he brings it up first. And if the subject comes up, be supportive, but do not get involved with him...he is married and needs to face reality
