I'm on the heavier side since I was in 3rd grade. I'm also a bit dark, olive skin. For years I had dark skin on my inner thighs caused by chafing which didn't bother me since I was just a kid. But now it really annoys me and I don't want to let anyone see it. Now I discovered that my inner butt cheeks are dark too when I saw it in the mirror. It's just looks nasty!

Now I'm confused. Is chafing caused by sweat or is it caused by dry skin? I searched for questions, some answered...because of sweat... others due to dry skin. I usually sweat on my inner thighs and butt. Fortunately, I dont have dark under arms maybe because I use this Whitening deodorant. So I had this idea of putting deodorant on my inner thighs and inner butt cheeks. Is that a good idea? Is there any solution which will work for about a month or two? Please Help!!!

Currently I'm using this Nivea Whitening Lotion putting it on my inner thighs and the butt area for almost 6 months now and nothing's happening . Is that a good idea? Should I continue using it?

It could be that the area of the skin is dark because of pigmentation from hormones, not from dry skin or chafing. If it is from hormones, there's not really anything you can do. If it severely bothers you, talk to a dermatologist about it.

there are solutions out there that are bleaches for the skin... not the safes but they work... look at the store in the beauty department... best of luck
