Blackheads are usually caused by stuff getting trapped in your pores by oil and or dead skin cells. There are a few other things that cause them, but you'd have to see a dermatologist for those. As a Mary Kay consultant I would recommend you wash your face twice a day morning and night with our TimeWise facial bar - its got an exfoliant in it but its gentle so it won't turn those blackheads into pimples. Follow it up with a good freshner (mk's purifiying freshner) and oil absorbing moisturizer (Mk's Oil Control Lotion). I know this may sound like a commerical for Mary Kay, but if you can find products like those from which ever skin care line you prefer it should help, but I don't know the names of the others.

Use all natural soaps daily. After put any toner, and apply lotion. Make sure you apply toner and lotion to your neck as well as your face because many people make the mistake by not washing their neck. To help reduce the pimple put a drop of tea tree oil on it every night before you go to bed. If you need a face wash in particular, I use Aubrey Organics: Natural Herbal. It is vegan and has 100% natural ingredients. Also, you can drink jasmine tea. It helps a lot! You can also go to this site, http://www.herbalremediesinfo.com/Acne.html. A healthy diet is very important to your skin as well. If you have any problems on your nose, you should use biore strips. For pimples apply toothpaste to it before you go to sleep, that is if you dont have the tea tree oil. Remember to drink plenty of water.

I use a Neutrogena Daily Facial scrub. It's also a Blackhead removal scrub. It removes the blackheads and prevents them from coming for as long as a week. I use it once every week. Don't forget your regular facial scrub!

Don't touch your face with dirty hands! I think you will find using Alpha hydroxy acids such as glycolic or lactic acid combined with salicylic acid will be the most effective. AHAs are a chemical form of exfoliation and the salicylic will get into the pores and dissolve the dirt and debris and keep them clear. Cleanse morning and night and use a light moisturizer. Still use a sunscreen every day. I like the Ultraceuticals even ski tone complex as it contains AHAs and salicylic acid, niacinimide (regulate oil production and anti inflammatory)
