What is the purpose of water pills? How does it work? And is it dangerous to take them?

If your bloated... I have taken them.. dont know if they are dangerous.. I am still alive.

They remove excess fluid from the body when a person has swelling or suffers from congestive heart failure. They may be given for swollen feet or for "bloating", as mentioned above. They are not a diet drug. You may lose a few pounds in fluid, but that is it. It will come back. And chronic use, when not medically necessary, can cause dehydration or lead to kidney damage.

Yes it is dangerous to take them as they can cause an electrolyte imbalance that can cause serious problems and land you in the hospital or worse yet dead. They remove fluid from your system but by doing this they disturb your electrolytes without you knowing it and you can wind up very sick or dead.

considering we are made of 80% water.. why influence this natural rapport ? I think that anything man made that comes between you and nature can be a potential threat to your health, so be careful.
