Urgent: Action for global energy saving
February 1st 2007, be part of the largest citizen mobilisation against global warming.
This is Alliance pour la Planète (a group of several environemental associations)'s simple plea to every one of us all over the globe, a five-minute break for the Earth: everybody turns off all lights on February 1st, from 7:55pm to 8:00pm at their local time. This is not only to save 5 minutes of electricity on that day, but also to grab the attention of other citizens and of the media and inform them about waste of energy and why it is important to take action. 5 minutes for our planet; it's not that big of a deal, it's free, and it will show your politicians that the environement is still something that needs to be discussed.

Ah... Feel good solutions that do nothing to correct the problem, just symbolic touchy-feely pablum for the masses.

Global warming is just natural cycles of the earth. 5 minutes of keeping people in the dark will accomplish nothing.

thrilling. i come across it puzzling to think about the data at the same time as this variety of tremendous number of political factions placed up information on their web content. a close chum is a chemical engineer and has executed a great deal of interpreting on the challenge and believes there is a few thing yet consensus. His take is that that is way extra complicated than the medical community is conscious. isn't it staggering how some human beings call it a actuality? i do not recognize of a few thing medical that become no longer a actuality quicker or later and fiction the subsequent. that's consistent in technology. i trust we ought to continuously act in a accountable thanks to keep our planet sparkling because that's the right component to do. no one is for pollutants, and that i imagine many everybody is turning out to be extra attentive to chemical substances, and so on that are merely risky. Al Gore does no longer recognize more advantageous than any scientist, and he's getting money from it. If he were a Republican, each and every liberal on right here might want to blast him as a profiteer, so that is a reason or not that's skeptical. we are going to see. the biggest challenge is oil dependency. we are enriching our enemy, and we want to develop into self sustaining.

While the lights are out, switch all of the bulbs to compact flourescents. Then you can help the environment for five years instead of five minutes.
