If your adult child is living at home with you and paying rent there really is no need to have them move out. If they were not then that would be a different story.

It depends if they can afford to live away from home, if they already have a stable job. If you're getting along with them fine then no need to push them out if they're paying rent anyway.
Family is family. I don't know, different cultures have different views on things. America has the mind set that at 18, a kid should move out of the house.

If they are paying rent it would depend on when you want them to be out. As long as they are helping with the bills and the housework where is the harm in letting them stay as long as it is tolerable.

I would say by 24, by that time, college should be completed, and they should be wanting to have their own freedom and place to live.
If they didnt go to college that was their choice, and they will obviously have to find a job that makes them enough money to live on their own or with roommates.
A 24 year old has the means to make his/her own living and to obtain his/her own life.
Time to grow up!
Besides, the parents need their own life now too. They have spent more than enough raising him/her.
