This is to help stop the war.

In WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray send good vibs thoughts feelings for the safety of England, its people and peace.
There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America If you would like to participate: Each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying or thinking sending good vibs for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens and our nation. Someone said if people understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer vibs and good thoughts, we might be speechless. Our prayers , thoughts feelings, good vibs are the most powerful asset we have. Together, we can make a difference It would hurt to email Bush as well.

IN AGREEMENT SISTER!!
If we could UNITE on all fronts the Governments would kneel to God, and come to the Churches for new medicine money, new school money, new housing money. It may never happen in my day. It's a sad world. We just want sadness.

John 17:21
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

It's a nice idea..but what you are forgetting is that non-christians don't pray. I think that there definately is something to be said for the power of collective thought, I just don't know if religion has anything to do with it. I have to say that I think doing things that are a little more constructive might work better..like the whole emailing Bush, your senator, or the Mayor of your town. Go to town meetings, be an involved citizens..speak out for what you think is right...and most importantly find out about current issues and VOTE. Do what you can do to keep, or make this country into what you want it to be.

Good vibes, thoughts, and praying are all good things..but they won't add up to a hill of beans with regards to stopping a war. Especially one that involves the beliefs systems of numerous different people..(you do realize that there are more than christians and non-christians in this country don't you..and not all pray to the same god?) I don't believe there are any statistics that show that it helped Churchill's advisor during WWII..(it would surely be impossible to prove that either way). So, although you have good intentions they are maybe just a little mis-directed..our most powerful asset is our people, and the fact that we won't stop until this issue is settled once and for all. What people tend to forget is that it's our job to protect those who cannot do so for themselves..and as a member of a military family..i have every right to say..go get em.

Stopping the war isn't the pertinent issue here..it's winning it, or bringing it to some kind of a reasonable resolve. Folks all over this country are only too willing to cry out about being poor and oppressed..when you hold us up against those folks in Iraq, Iran and Saudia Arabia...we're all living like Kings. If we were to pull out of the war and brings all those troops back it would only be a matter of time until certain countries began raining intercontinental ballistic missiles down here onto the US. Think it won't happen? Are you really willing to take a chance on your families safety? Setting such a precedent will only lead to WWIII and any half-intelligent person knows only too well what that means.

Soo...you want us to pull out and remove the only stabilizing factor in the country, so that in all likely hood it could fall to people worse than Saddam. Not to mention all the money we are providing to the people in public works services to build up their infrastructure. Just proving that America will pull out as soon as it starts to take casualties (being we have yet to acquire the casualties we got on D-day alone). Why don't we let the soldiers in our all volunteer military decide if we should stay, being people who have lost limbs are trying to get back into the middle east, as well as many other reenlisting in country(in Iraq). as to Keeping America safe, if we're fighting on their home turf, we're attacking their foundation. If you take out the foundation you remove the threat, as you attack the foundation their focus moves from offense to defense. this is protecting our nation. War may not be pretty but there are times when its the only option.

Dear God,
I ask to you place protection over the U.S. as we countinue throghout this war. I ask that you create unity between christians and non-christians as they consult Bush about his plans for our nation. I would let to pray for the troops who are battling in the war and pray that you send ministering and protection angels over them both. There are people who are reading this right now that have family over in the Middle east fighting for Bush. I pray that those families reunite with their loved ones. Pray this in jesus name. Amen.

of course it would be nice if mankind could get along but it is not going to happen, there is truths in the bible that will always divide and cause separation with those who do not believe. there will never be true peace until the prince of peace comes back jesus christ.

As if thats going to do anything.

Why would sensible people do something so incredibly stupid and pointless? Prayer doesn't work because God doesn't exist.
