Actually Pat Miletich has 4 title defenses and 1 tournament win (In UFC 1-23 there wasn't weightclasses and the title's were givin to the last man standing after a tournament of fights) So technically Pat Miletich, Matt Hughes, and Tito Ortiz are all tied with 5 consecutive title defenses, while Matt has 7 total (lost the title to BJ Penn in the middle)
But Frank Shamrock and Chuck Liddell are right behind with 4 title defenses and there is no doubt in my mind that by the end of 2007 Chuck will have at least 7 straight title defenses making him the longest reigning UFC Champ, as well as the most dominate.
