can my husband get this from me ad should he be prescribed medication as well

It is just a increase in the bacteria you already have. It is probably best to use a condom. It is absolutely nothing that can be cured. He should not take any presciptions unless he is having symptoms.

I don't think so. Is this the same as a UTI? I got a uti from a new boyfriend but the nurse practioner said I could not give it to my husband.

Yes he can, if you are not protected. He needs meds because when you get rid of yours, and you have sex with him, he can pass it back to you, and you guys could keep passing it back and forth.
