I think honesty without it no relationship will last, then love companionship and sex. A major factor to a good relationship is trust.

That's a question that has answers based on individual needs and opinions. However, I think it's important to have all of those things. The key is to find someone who put these characteristics of a good relationship in the same or almost the same order as you! If you find someone sees eye to eye with you and expects the same things in a relationship, that is what is MOST important!!

And no matter what anyone else says - SEX is important in a relationship... it's just up to you and your partner HOW important it is.

Feel free to email me if you want to get a more in depth response or if you have any more questions!!!

You need all of those and more to make a good relationship. I'd say the most important thing in a relationship is compatibility. You have to be able to make decisions together and be 50/50 in everything you do. It's also good to be friends with the person you are in a love relationship with. You can't be with someone if you are never agreeing on things or can't see eye to eye. You have to be able to share some of the same dreams and goals... this way you can do it together and it's that much more meaningful.

Honesty, because without it you can’t have great sex. The love because thats the stuff life is made of and then companionship.

Start by asking yourself which one you couldn't live without, and then which one you could close your eyes on. Between the two, there's bound to be a just middle.
I think that love is like oxygen, you can't live without it. Be it family love, friends, and just pure love.
And you can even love someone enough to deprive yourself of sex, or good sex.
You just love them the way they are.
You can love them so much, that you will treasure whatever time you manage to spend with them; in whatever relation they can offer you.
As for honesty, again, love can be blind, or make you blind.
So, don't fool yourself by believing for one second that you don't need to love or be loved. One day or the other, you'll claim it.
Usually with true love, the rest follows. USUALLY.X

My personal opinion is that you need all three in differing quantities at different times in your relationship.

People have mentioned that a relationship shouldnt be based upon sex and while i agree, it is important to remember that sex in a relationship isnt just about the 'shagging', its about intimacy, trust, being relaxed about who you are and who is with you, knowing your partner well enough to not havng to always say "Fancy a bit of fun babe?" Its about being able to read one another, knowing what they're thinking and feeling the same, having fun AND its about being honest with each other.
Sex in a relationship is different to sex on a one night stand, or a quick fumble in the toilets of a nightclub!
