Wash out's aren't a good idea.. My friend and I once did it and she had blonde hair, she dyed it a reddish color and it washed out in a few weeks but left a reddish tint, she eventually had to dye it back to a blonde for it to look the way it used to. So if you're doing a darker color or a reddish color I really wouldn't do it if you want it to go back to normal. If you want something different, maybe try highlights?

I dyed my hair w/wash out dye and I have dirty blonde hair. I dyed it an "almond" brown. It said it would wash out in about 20 washes, but it also said on the back that if you choose dye darker than you natural color it will take longer for it to wash out...and it's true. It took about 30-40 washes for it to wash out. But I did get my natural color back eventually.
Good Luck!

If your hair is chemically treated it won't wash out at all, I know from experience. It should take between 6 - 8 weeks on natural hair. If your hair is very blonde I wouldn't recommend it as the washing out stage will make your hair look very dull and it could take even longer than 8 weeks. I don't think they are very good tbh.

it depends what you put on your hair. most wash in/wash out dyes last upto 8 weeks but some may last longer depending on how thick your hair is.if your hair is blonde i wouldnt dye it auburn or dark brown because they put the colours back in whereas when you went blonde you took the colour out at the roots

wash in wash out usually lasts from 3 to 6 washes depending on products in hair. yes it will go darker but never lighter.
Please be carefull if putting auburn over bleached hair as it can stain and you will be left with funny bits. other than that theres no harm in using the product,

Should be fine after about 6 weeks if you wash your hair daily - it gradulaly fades, there is no "dye-line"... You can't go lighter with them, only darker I think. You usually find a phone number on the box, call them up and ask them, it is not in their interests to lie to you, their good name is on the line!

blonde hair has a tendency to hold washout dyes for much longer than darker hair does. depending on the dye you choose to use. use a temperary dye. semi-permininets usually last fairly long in blondes rather than brunettes
