It doesn't. But literalists continue to disagree because for them, everything they need to know is written in the bible or can be interpreted from the bible. The earth is 6000 years old, there was a worldwide flood, etc. They counter science effectively by using the god-did-it argument. It goes something like this. "I never bother reading secular scientific material because it often contradicts my religious beliefs and I've already got all the answers so mankind's science must be wrong, god-did-it!!!" Having said that, most enjoy the benefits of science every day.

Luke 24:25 "And He said to them, "O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!"
Luke 24:45 "Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures"
Religious Faith explains that God can change the heart and mind of a farmer, a doctor or a nuclear power plant operator.

I stay in suburban Chicago, and that i swear, in the experience that they could enable me stay interior the field Museum, i ought to. it is one in all my absolute prominent places interior the entire international. i became SO excited even as they presented Sue the T-Rex to the museum - she is a alluring fossil. i in my view do not believe that the international is only 6,000 years previous, and that i'm a Christian. i don't think that organic heritage museums are deceptive each and anyone - i believe that all and sundry is deceptive themselves even as they offer the effect of being at authentic dinosaur fossils that were dug out of the earth and performance been dated to be a lot older that 6,000 years and nonetheless say, "which couldn't attainable." those who seem at historic artifacts obviously a lot older than 6,000 years and nonetheless declare the earth is 6,000 years previous are deceptive themselves. The museums at the on the spot are not at fault nor are they deceptive each and anyone. i locate this conception that folk have about the age of the earth fairly contradictory to the conception of God - the Bible tells us that by ability of God, all issues are attainable. Is it attainable then that God created the international tens of millions of years in the past, even though it wasn't until eventually a lot later that people got here to visit? i believe it is totally attainable. If God is the omnipotent, all-helpful God that i believe Him to be, and what the Bible broadcasts Him to be, than I see no reason our earth can't be older than 6,000 years. only my humble opinion. Peace!

religious faith is not suopposed to explain workinds of the natural world,it is supposed to explain the things we cant get directly to know or examine ,like the purpose of life ,death and afterlife, you realise that all these workings are being developed and advanced every day,but faith does not change.
if we only take care of the materialistic things things ,then we are no different from all other forms of life on earth,we need religion to enrich the spiritual part of our life.

In detail, that is how. Here is only one example.
Isa 40:6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
Isa 40:7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
Isa 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
THE FLESH WILL PERISH
God's Word is eternal.

for the farmer, god allows the plants to grow and provides the weather and rain, for the others, man has a brain he can use it, that has nothing to do with faith.

2,000 years ago the bible was the best body of knowledge available to a not particularly significant bronze age tribe in the Middle East. We have moved on.
