can my cat catch a cold from me?

so i can cough in my cats face?? im not going to but i was wondering if my cat could catch a cough from me.... because i have seen her sneeze before

NO, you cannot give your cat a cold nor can it give you a cold, most viruses are species specific. Cats can however get upper respiratory infections that resemble human "colds" with sneezing, runny nose, runny eyes, etc. If your cat sneezes occassionally...no problem, but if it does it constantly and seems to be congested, or like mentioned above has a runny nose, etc., take him/her to the vet for antibiotic treatment.

I think it's certainly a possiblity...
You are spreading germs, and bacteria, etc. They are physically present and it is viable that your cat picked up some of those germs, etc., and is having a reaction to that..

Please don't cough in your cat's face...

Cats can get a cold or flu, but it isnt teh same germ which causes our ailments. You cannot infect your cat;

yes she can! just treat her like anyone else around you, and wash your hands when you sneeze or cough.

no - you can both have "colds" but can't catch them from each other - it would just be coincidence.
