i just moved into this new house and over the past month i have started to see things and hear things that no one else sees or hears also things are dissappering and reappering its weird. am i nuts or could it be something else?

What do you see and what do you hear? Are they normal things like shadows or insects crawling on the walls? Or are they something entirely beyond your experience which have no rational explanation? I'm going to tell you a story.
A young man checked into a mental hospital and told me this story of his experience with moving into a new house. Seems he saw things too; small colored lights that floated just above the floor that he could see down the hall from where he was sitting in his living room. When he approached them to see what they were they would move away and eventually go out.
After he was there for awhile he would see a shadow of a human on the drapes of his living room picture window at night as if someone were standing outside and casting a shafdow from the street lamp. He would look outside but there was no one there. He checked as to what could cast such a shadow and determined it would have had to have been someone standing between the window and the drape. No tracks were found outside the window in the soil (he hadn't landscaped yet) and besides the person would have had to be suspended in midair above the ground to cast such a shadow as the window was quite a way above the ground outside.
All this time the colored lights kept reappearing night after night. He decide his house was haunted and checked into a mental hospital They called the phenomena hallucinations. He sold the house.

You might not be use to the new noises of the furnace or refrigerator running, you might have an overactive imagination or maybe your house is haunted?? If you think its haunted try to talk openly (out loud) and explain that you are living there now and wish no harm on anyone or thing. I've heard ghosts are very materialistic of things and dont like to share with strangers so you need to make it clear that you dont intend to cause problems. But thats only if you believe in ghosts...I am still skeptical myself.

Do you believe in ghosts or the supernatural. It's entirely possible you have ghosts. Some people are more sensitive then others to feel, hear, notice if they have spirits in their house. Most of the time ghosts are harmless. There are people that specialize in the paranormal. If you really think your house is haunted, contact someone, they can really help.

Does this happen when you are alone or at night mostly?
Sensory deprivation (lack of sound or living objects around you) has this effect. Get a dog and I bet this all stops. A dog is another living thing and often comes near you if it senses your apprehension. It will quay your feelings you are having about sounds like house settlement, and visual sensory deprivation.

Well, apart from the fact that you are adjusting to new surroundings - which would include all the sounds and settling of a house that is unfamiliar to you - you could still be going crazy.
But you're in very good company if you do! :-)

have you tried setting out a video camera in certain places? try it where activity is taking place...i have never seen a ghost, but maybe you have one
