If you make a book case you have created it, you had to hammer in nails. A book case could not come into existence on its own.

If you put water in a refrigerator's freezer part, it naturally will become ice.

Ice is something that in nature comes about.

A book shelf does not come about on its own naturally.

Water molecules come about naturally, hydrogren and oxygen combine on their own to form water molecules, naturally.

A human being was not created or manufactured. It came about naturally.

The universe was not created or manufactured. It came about naturally.

Please discuss your views on the differences between artificial items and natural items,

and please discuss why some people think the universe and a human being are more like a book shelf, artificial, created, and not occuring naturally.

true but you are forgetting the origins... do things occur naturally because of evolution or because they were set in motion to occur that way by intelligent design? Your argument leads us no closer to the truth... Either theory can be supported by that argument...

This debate is moot. I will however try again to restate the obvious. Let's take the book case example. We look at the book case and a voice inside us tells us that we should, could, and ought to get some books for it. Then GOD forbid we should read them after we get them. Now that's a lot of work and we really just want to goof off. Goofing off is so much more fun then reading books that go in this book case. How do we get around the idea of the book case so we can go goof off and be lazy? Think Think Think! I got it! We need to prove that the book case was not actually made so that way we would not be bound by the laws of the book case that bug us deep inside. How would we explain this very obvious creation? Well would it go something like this? Millions and Millions of years ago there were these wood molecules and they started to mutate and..... (You get the point) The point is ----> IT's a Book Case People.

Thing in which are naturally occurring are dynamic - they change, grow - evolve. There are many such occurrences in our universe and on our planet.

However, it still leaves a lot of 'whys' and for some people that is too large, too uncomfortable a thought. To make it something created narrows the scope and makes them feel more secure. Some peoples minds just cannot conceive such abstraction.

The definition comes from a nicely known atheist, for this reason i will basically think of it being a no longer so veiled grievance to pantheism as a "remodeled" and extra glamourous (or well-known) version of atheism. the kind between the two, aside from the apparent language conflict between pan- and a-, is the commencing factor; atheists think of there isn't any god by any ability, subsequently no debate on him/her/that's mandatory. Even the definition of atheist is extremely absurd, in case you think of approximately it, for what might happen if all and sundry have been defined by utilising what one isn't or would not have faith in? we would have a-dragonists, a-winnipooists, a-spidermanists, a-pinkelephantists etc. A pantheist, on the different hand, believes the entire universe is god and god is in each little thing . In doing so, he/she denies the existence of a transcendent deity, that's on the backside of each faith from monotheist to pagan, subsequently Dawkins' ordinary simile.

A dish washer is manufactured in a factory from steel made in a factory using iron ore as a raw material. It takes outside (human) influences (interference) to cause the change.

Iron ore is a naturally occurring material.

To be honest, I fail to see the problem.

I think the universe is its own creation, myself. We look at our bodies, and we see levels of incredible detail going down right to microscopic levels [and below!].

I think, if we see this happening in the micro, that it's also likely to happen in the macro. Our entire perceived universe is likely just a tiny cog in a much larger system.

Does it have a creator? Perhaps. I honestly feel the creator and the creation are all one in the same. Nowadays, they can make programs that are programmed to make programs.

If we occured naturally, what a wasteful God we would have!

We are created in His image, He knows how we will look from the beginning.

Why would he wait millions upon millions of years for us to evolve into his image?
