Specifically, where would larvae be more commonly found? Or, does it depend on the particular dragonfly species? A reliable source would be helpful, but an informed general answer is ok. Thanks

Literature says that dragonfly larvae prefer calm or slowly-moving water. My environmental science students have found dragonfly larvae in streams and lakes, though in streams they tend to be in leaf packs where the water is not moving quickly.

Dragonfly larvae have a low pollution tolerance.
