I don't know if there is a "best" persay. I think the best method is to switch shampoos and brand names every month. About after a month, the shampoo will no longer be effective and instead, you will get a build up of oil. But if you switch brands, which tend to have different chemical formulas, this won't happen aand you start the process over again. So, I guess instead of looking for the "best," you could look for the "best two" and switch inbetween them.

That depends on your hair type. What works on fine limp hair will not work on heavy coarse hair. But, I do recommend staying away from "Drug Store Lines" because of the detergent base and the wax build up. There are a lot out there that say they are "Professional Formulas" but what they do not tell you is they started with a Professional Formula then cut it to make it more profitable to them with products that build up on your hair. You can totally ruin a permanent or hair color by using drug store products on the hair! I would check with your hairstylist and see what they recommend for your hair type and try them. You will find you will not have to use as much product with a professional line and your hair will do a lot better and be a lot healthier.

The absolute best is a new brand just coming out called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair...and it smells awesome! You'll be able to get Organix in the next few weeks Duane Reade, Safeway, Harmon, etc. Its the best! You'll love it!!!

depends entirely on what type of hair you have. I have thick coarse frizzy hair, and use john freida frizz ease in mine. My sister has very fine fly away straight hair, and she uses sunsilk in hers.

You will need to try some shampoos and work you which one best suits you.

I prefer Pantene, but I guess it depends on your hair type. I would just stay away from Herbal Essence. I tried it once, it turned my hair the color of the shampoo, and it made it greasy. I hope that helps.
