What is this thing?
It looks like a canker sore but its completely painless and not irritating at all.
Can it be because I sleep with my mouth open and when I wake up? My throat is always dry and painful after this, and I always have to drink a cup of water to relieve it.
What can this thing be? It's small, about 1cm long. its on the left side in the back of my throat....
Anyone know what it can be?? :(

if it's on your tonsil, it's probably a mucus plug. You should probably be able to scratch it off with a q tip or your fingernail. They smell really gross. It's from when your sinuses drain into your tonsils.

I'm a dentist.

No ifs ands or buts, have your dentist look at it.

It may be nothing, or it may be something very serious. You'll never find out by asking people here. As I can't see it, I cannot comment on it.
