You may have only just discovered it, the tricky part now is holding onto it. I am being optomistic because it sounds like you have been looking for a good quality in a person, so long may it continue.

due to being hurt badly in the past i do not trust anyone apart from my family completely, that sort of trust has to be earned and although i love my bf to bits i do like to question him about things sometimes, im lucky because he understands about my past so he doesnt mind.

my bf is 40 and i am 21 his x done the dirty on him all the time and so did my x but we trust each other and got no reason for us to go els where

I guess that there is hope for me as well. but everytime I have really trusted someone, is when the leave and show that they weren't worth the time.
