Have you tried Richard Caruso's Curlers before? It's a machine that heats curler's using steam. You put the curler's on it one at a time & after your done setting your hair you then blow dry your hair for only 2 minutes or you can leave them in for 20 (if you don't have a blow dryer). Then remove the curler's & your hair is defineatly curly. It stays curly until you wash it out usually, I have went 3-4 days before not even thinking about doing my hair other than a quick adjustment & a little hair spray. I have soft controllable curls now & my hair is really curly & they give you different ideas/tips on how to set your hair too to get different types of styles. I have very fine thin hair & I used to fight with a curling iron for 1/2 hour only to have my hair go flat before I got to work. After using this system, I won't part with them for anything & its quick & easy & they don't damage my hair at all. I'm not sure where you live but you may try to find them online to locate a place that sells this product close to you or you may by them through the mail. My husband paid 29.00 for the set, about 2 years ago & I know it's still out there & they are worth it. Hope this helps it ended my bad hair days, I hope it does for you too. Here is a link I found on line. Good Luck

A shampoo like that will only work on people with curly or wavy hair. You i am afraid are going to have to learn to love your straight hair. It is easy for curly people to turn straight, but not vice versa (unless you take drastic action and get a perm - which i do not recommend - it damages your hair, and the growth looks awful).

Now you could try setting it with rollers after you wash it, and leave them in for a while (dry your hair whilst in the rollers) Or you can get a good set of curling tongs.

What looks great is if you keep the bulk of your hair straight, and just curl a few sections of the top with the curling tongs.

Good luck with your hair - I bet it is lovely the way it is (I by the way AM curly, and straighten mine every week!!!!) Human nature - we are never happy with what we have got - we always think the grass is greener on the other side........

You can't make you hair curly unless you get it permed or use a curling iron on it daily. I'd opt for a nice soft curly perm, maybe one that you can shampoo & towel dry, & scrunch, or pick it out as it's in the various stages of drying. Just remember that it takes a chemical process, such as perming, to give you the curl that you want. Those Wash & Curl shampoos are a waste of money. Can you say false advertising?

OK with out perming it -- you can curl it with rollers or a curling iron- other than that perming it would be the other way to go -- unfortunately those wash and curl shampoos and conditioners don't always have the effect that it should. You can use perm curlers in your hair with out the perming solution (that's called a water perm) you will have curly hair until you wash it out. I hope this was helpful

My hair is very thick and very straight, and the only way I can get it to curl is if I use a sprial curling iron. It stays curly the entire day. I also put this mousse that makes your hair curly, and its made by Tresme (not for sure on the spelling, sorry!) Then I use their hairspray as well.

Good Question. Tough answer. When it comes to straight thick hair, you gotta wash your hair EVERYDAY with that special shampoo and DO NOT dry it. Let it air dry. Brush it out but DO NOT dry it. If this does not after a week or two...use a curling iron.

buy a curling iron and curl it but be sure to use lots of hairspay or the curls will come out fast . Walmart has some good curlers from$5-30 and they dont work to bad

let your hair dry for about 30 minutes after you take a shower. then french braid it and sleep on the braid. when you wake up blow dry the braid and you should have curls. if to curly then brush gently to remove some the curls.
warning- may make hair wavy when you brush it out

maybe try a different shampoo and conditioner, like herbal essences totally twisted...
that should help make your hair hold curl better. and then, you can use a curling iron, hot curlers, or overnight curlers to keep your hair nice and curly!!

good luck!!!

my hair is always so flat so I tried scrunching it then hair spraying it but that didn't work so now I take a shower at night and let my hair kinda dry by it's self a little and then I french braid it-then in the morning I take my blowdryer and dry it while it's still in the braid to make sure it's dry-then I take it out but do NOT brush it and hair spray it! then ur hair is curly and it looks natural!
