I'm real happy with the Casio Exlim camera. It's small, sleek, takes excellent pictures. Goes from being powered off to ready to shoot really fast. It has a feature called "best shot" that has pre-configured camera settings for the particular kind of picture you want to take that are very easy to understand. For example, if you were taking a picture at a party inside, there is best shot setting for exactly that. You don't have to understand camera speak. Check it out at Circuit City.

The best camera you can get is Canon. Canon has superior imagine quality over all other brands in the sleek camera area. The best sleek camera right now would be the Canon SD900IS. IT has face detection technology which allows the camera to focus on the face of a person rather than on lets say a chair. You can always go cheap, the Canon SD600 is still a really good camera, It just doesnt have all the bells and whistles that that SD900 has.

Lets Rate Companies:
1. Canon
2. Casio
3. Sony
4.Nikon
5. Every other company makes really bad cameras (HP, Kodak, Olympus)

I have a Canon SD450 and am very happy with it. I've had it for about seven months. It takes good pictures, is easy to use, and small enough to slip easily into a pocket. Doesn't have as many features as some of the more expensive cameras, but has more than I'll ever use.
