Hi Sumita, You are right. Very true. Your question itself is a part of the answer & solution. However the question by our Mr. President is some what vague, unless he fine tunes his question to specific incidence, to ask what and which terrorism is he concerned off. ? It is like asking at large, to find out a common cause & remedy to thwart death from planet earth. Is there anything like that.?? Everyman that is born is destined to die someday. Question Sounds a bit insane to me. Since the world was only shaken with 9/11 incidence, that too, only because it happened in America & All other, more serious than that would have fallen to a deaf ear. Any how, only a perhaps a very few know the real story & people who know & on hot seats are en cashing on it. It is more lucrative to keep crying wolf all the time, it has mind boggling revenues in it, than chasing getting the perpetrators & closing the chapter. However I am more than convinced people who are concerned have taken care of it. I assure you people concerned are well aware. 99.9999% people who have replied have no clue. Since most of the new generation in the Muslim community is hot tempered, there will not be any end for terrorism.

Islam does not support terrorism and Jihad is not terrorism. The word Jihad means "striving in the way of God". Jihad when mixed with politics will end up in terrorism. You, me or any other human never can wipe "Jihad mixed with politics" from this world, because some person or some nation is riping benefits from this war for terror and jihad mixture.

We can of a terror free world, if we are successful to elect a true human(not a politician) as our ruler.

I join the views expressed in most the replies that terrorism will not end even if all the humanity turns to Islam, Christianity OR any other religion OR no religion at all. The root cause of terrorism/crime is genetic and these genes(there is no crime gene and crime is the result of a combination genetic factors like poor intelligence, low EQ etc.) for crime and selfishness we have inherited from other animals. For example chimpanzee and human share a common gene pool for more than 98 per cent of the genes. Even if we adopt a genetic approach to weed out terrorism, it will be almost impossible to completely eliminate it with the present know how and the restrictions imposed by the society. However, with the advancement of genetic engineering and cloning techniques we may achieve a better control of terrorism.

That may depend on your definition of the word "accept," but the answer in any case is probably not.

If you mean 'accept' as in 'recognize the right to exist,' a large portion of the world already does this. Many of the world's largest cities have significant Islamic populations living in peace with people of other faiths and ethnic backgrounds. In addition, countries with Islam-oriented governments have recognition in world bodies such as the UN, etc.

If you mean 'accept' as 'converts to the religion', then (apart from the fact that it won't happen), there is the problem of splits within Islam itself. Just as there is terrorism and Jihad against non-Islams, there is also terrorism and Jihad going on within the Islamic world. For example, there is no love lost between Al-Qaeda and the Saudi Royal Family. In addition, you have splits in Islam such as Sunni vs. Shia, etc., that have also been historical causes of war and deep-seated hatred.

So, in short...don't hold your breath.

Do you mean to say that Islam is the only source of terrorism? What about the terrorism by US Presidents? What About aryan racism? Do you think that it doesn't exist now? Just search "american nazi party" in google. What about devil worshippers and other occult groups? What about terrorism by Hindus in Gujrat? What about Bajrangdal and Shivsena? There are so many sources of terrorism other than Islam. By this please understand that I am not a muslim. I was born as a hindu in a brahmin family, but now I am a non- religious person but not an atheist. I think we should abolish all religions and races. We all should become just human beings, secular human beings. Then only there will be an end to terrorism.

Never.If the whole world accepts Islam,then the there will arise a new problem,the those-who-were-other-religions would revolt.Is it a problem which would end?OK,even if we assume that the whole world accepts Islam,there are many a sub caste in the Islamic religion which fight with each other.I guess that there is no proper ending to this problem.

Even before any religion was there.. people used to fight. If they all have one religion then they still would find some other issue and still fight. That is because there would be people with different views and with deep belief in the views held by them. Some people with extreme views will go to any length to implement those views on others. That is going to remain, as that is a part and parcel of the 'Homo Sapien". And that is the reason why we have reached this stage of evolution. Because we challenge the ground rules and break them and move forward.

So coming back to the issue.. It would be impossible for an end to terrorism as long as people have different views on any issue.

My friend, the religion named Islam is but a tool chosen by some selfish people who have there own interests in mind.

If the whole world accepts Islam, this evil section of society shall look for some other reason or create internal divisions within Islam (there are already the Shiya & Sunnis) to cause conflict to gain power, wealth or some kind of twisted mental satisfaction.

well like many have said within people who accept Islam as their faith also there are differences. and it is not only about Islam there are other religions or Clans as well who may be even worse than Islamic factions so why say that only Islamic beliefs people are terrorists. People are terrorists for Greed as well look at the Blood diamonds case .. so as long as there are humans we will have fanatics of all types some may not even have religion on their minds. so in Short the answer to your question is NO

If the whole world accepted Islam within it's hearts-truly- then yes. That is until somebody decided they no longer wanted to be Islamic, started a movement, broke off their own sect of whatever religion they would call it then, it would spread, and another holy war would ensue.
