The version of Office XP Pro I have was purchased separately and I still have the original packaging and ID numbers.

There are two options:

First, if you have the cd disk you should be able to reload it on another computer. Now it only has so many downloads too. This is to prevent a person from giving it away. Business have got caught where they buy one cd, then download on their other computer. You can read stories like these at pcworld.com.

Second - If you are truely change to a new computer, did you know you could exchange the hard drives so when you boot up your new one, PRESTO, everything is the same. I know, cuz I have done this and you SAVE that one download too.

You did not say how big the drives are in the new and old one too.But you can always add a drive to your new computer if you need more space.

Well I'm not really sure about removing from your old computer
But I think if you still have the Original installation Disc, then you should be able to just put that in your new computer and install it from there
