No they are not the same.
"But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
Gifts of the Holy Spirit are found in 1 Corinthians 12:4-14; 1 Corinthians 12:27-30; Romans 12:6-8; and Ephesians 4:11
Word of Wisdom
Word of Knowledge
Faith
Healings
Working of miracles
Prophecy
Discernment of spirits
Speaking in tongues
Interpretation of tongues
Difference in the two:
Fruit of the Spirit, we all receive
Gifts of the Spirit, not all receive the nine; one might receive the Gift of Wisdom, another the Gift of Prophecy, yet another the Gift of Tongues. We all not get all the gifts, unless God deems one to receive them all. I've never met an individual today will all nine gifts.

The fruits of the spirit are the evident changes in the lives brought on by the Holy Spirit working within. For the benefit of the person.
The gifts are the powers or giftings evident through the Holy Spirit. These gifts are given as required by the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the church.

There is a difference in the gifts of the spirit & the Fruit of the Spirit. In Galatians 5:22 But the FRUIT of the spirit is Love, Joy, Pease, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23: Meekness, temperance against such there is no law. Now go to 1st Cor. 12:4-7 you can read it, But I will start off on verse 8: For to one is given by the Spirit, the word of wisdom, to another knowledge, to another faith, to another the GIFTS of healing, to another working of miracles,, to another Prophecy. to another discernment of spirits, to another divers kinds of tongues, to another Interpretation of tongues, So the fruit of the spirit & the gifts of the spirit is 2 different things
