Question Details: I turned 21 in december, finished my fall semester in college and had a month off- spring semester starts in a few days. The problem is that I was looking foward to this month so I can relax and well I havent been able to sleep well at all, my usually optimistic and enthusiastic thoughts dont come easily and I frustrate myself by thinking over and over why I keep feeling this way. Is this normal? is it cause i didnt have any routine this month - just getting up, watching tv, occasionally going out, _ I find myself thinking and worrying about things that in as recent as last month were never an issue such as when Im gonna meet the right girl, if ill have kids, etc. I was not nervous at all about graduating this spring and finding a job and all of a sudden I find myself in a state of what I can only term as insecurity or unfounded anxiety - has anyone ever experienced this? again i am a normally centered balanced person - at times I do feel like me again

It's because while you were in school you had a routine. Saw your friends knew what had to get done and you had a "purpose" to get up every morning. Don't get me wrong you have a purpose to get up each and everyday, we all do. But you now have had time to relax, and you are still in the school mode. You may also be depressed about something. I hear some key words in your question that makes me feel that way. Do get plenty of rest but not so much thst you sleep your day away. Remember all the things you liked to do, and start doing them. Important things in your life like a job, finding a girl etc., will come at the perfect time for you witout you pondering on it all day. When you least expect it will happen it will. Good luck to you, and stop being so hard on yourself!

You probably need the structure of a set routine. Is this the first time you've really been on your own, without a schedule to follow or someone to tell you what to do and when to do it? I suggest that you "assign" a few projects for yourself for the next couple of days. For example: Go to two museums in the morning and spend an hour in each. Have lunch downtown and then walk around the city for a couple of hours. On your way home pick up something to cook for dinner and rent a movie to watch while and after you eat. While you're doing all that, plan your next day. I think that between getting fresh air and exercising and knowing what you're going to do next will give you something stable to focus on and you'll probably sleep better. Good luck!

Sounds to me that you needed a goal. Maybe a personal achievement like going to the gym, and improving your whole being. A diet change away from snatching up what you could get in-between classes. If you do meet the right girl, it will be because she is attracted to your balanced, and easy going nature.

Guilt, hmmmm, maybe feeling guilty for laying around and enjoying being lazy for a change.? Get out of the habit of over-thinking yourself, when you start that type of thinking, put the skids on it. Stop, go in another direction in your mind. You are the master of your Neurons. They don't rule you.

Chemical imbalance can cause a lot of tweeked out thinking, focus a little more on getting your diet back in balance.
Also, something more likely to stir your blood, that is a Cardio workout. Your dreamboat will come along when you least expect it. Get ready baby cakes.

nicely, i've got had extremely comparable stories, besides the shown fact that the only distinction is i'm continually asleep. you notice that is like a dream, different than you will no longer be able to awaken rather. you could't flow lots as your pinky. It seems such as you're lifeless or in a coma. Then somebody tries to choke you to death, you could't see that individual for that's darkish interior your head. yet interior the tip that somebody became basically attempting to hold an end on your suffering. you will no longer think of what it feels prefer to be alive yet can't flow or talk. Can somewhat breathe...

i would say its most likely due to the fact you simply have too much time on your hands,,, and yes the break in your routine,,,,,,, instead of worrying,,,,,, i would stay as active and busy as i can,,, set yourself a schedule,,,, exercise time,,,,, look into possible careers time (you can do alot of research on the internet),,, a study time,,get prepared for next semester, etc,,,,,, your mind isnt occupied by anything, so you have time to dwell on the future,, plus accept that as you leave college and enter the next phase of adulthood, this is a major change,, and you are bound to feel some apprehension and wonder what the future holds, this is very normal,,,,,

Without getting the proper amount of sleep, your brain is on overload! You need the time to rest and enter deep sleep to re-energize yourself. One thing that might help that is a synthetic hormone the brain produces is Melatonin3mgs. Let me know if this works for you. It works for me!

That's exactly how I felt before I developed major depressive disorder (clinical depression). If you take a few steps now, you can probably avoid a disaster later. Read my story and see if anything strikes a chord with you: http://www.geocities.com/seabulls69/AntidepressantThatWorks.html
