Why do anti-depressants cause some people to gain so much weight?

I have put on 10 lbs already in 4 months of being on cymalta! I gained 20 on effexor, and 15 on zoloft!! I think I give up on the anti depressents...........just would like to know why they cause weight gain!

Everyone is different. I never gained weight on them. I've been taking them for 15 years. Best U check with Ur doc or pharmacist
