I just wondered if it was because it is predicting a doomsday which is not caused by Godlessness.

Hi John, I think you are somewhat confused: You are lumping a period in earth's climate history namely the Ice Age with era's of man's knowledge of metal working i.e. teh Bronze and Iron ages, which have nothing to do with our cilimate record. If I misunderstood please correct me.

There are two reasons I have learned from the Creationists themselves as to why they deny global warming.
The first is the belief that God would not allow it to happen. Very plain and simple.
The second comes from a more nefarious form of Fundamentalist/Creationist Christian. These are the ones who are actively trying to bring about the apocolypse. Tired of waiting for Jesus to come flying out of the sky on his own accord to wisk them away from us Godless Heathens and take them to a new Earth, they are hoping to speed up the process by using up everything in sight and, in effect, destroy the world.
Of course, my philosophy is this (putting my mind into an Apocolyptic Christian state of mind)...God made us stewards over the planet. This is akin to hiring humans to take care of his garden. Would God be happy that we killed all of the animals, ploughed over his rose bushes and put a parking lot in its place? I don't think so. If Jesus came down right now and had to choose who to take to the New World, it would probably be the hippies, Unitarians, and others accused of being dirty "liberals".

Different people have different reasons, but ...
The End of the World will be here before anything happens.
Those who believe "be fruitful and multiply" and the Earth was made for man overrides "man shall be shepherd of the earth"
It's bad for business
It's bad for the United States
It's just a cycle.
What you said?

Once again people are lumping a whole group of people into one title. I only speak for myself. No one speaks for me either. I believe in creation and I do not deny global warming. Global warming does not have to be a "doomsday" event. Global warming is also a relatively slow moving concept. Whats to say God doesn't send a meteor the size of California crashing to the Earth tomorrow? You don't have to wear blinders to reality if you believe in creation. Let's stop all the stereotyping shall we?

To be a creationalist you have to deny pretty much all of modern science (not just biology and the theory and fact of evolution but essentially all of physics, geology, chemistry, astronomy, etc) and so to them it just doesn't matter what scientists say will happen because as far as they're concerned science is wrong anyway.

Well, I personally don't deny global warming. Humans are doing it to the earth.

Global Warming has been going on for billions of years. The earth is just going through it's normal cycles. Remember the Ice Age, Jurassic Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age? All part of a changing Earth.

I say global warming has not must to do with the worlds population today and certainly has nothing to do with big G. It is a natural occurance as elements chemicals exchange gases and energy it will and would have happened regardless of what man does.
