Present Problem :
My Mother age 67 years, since last 6 months, has been complaining of low fever (99-100 Deg F). The fever is not persistent it comes once or twice in a day accompanied by back ache, she feels very weak and a paracetamol give symptomatic relief. This started when there was an epidemic of chikungunya in rural areas of India, but not so much fiercel in Mumbai where we reside.

Recently she also complained about tape worms and was treated with 3 daily doses of Mebendazoel 400mg.

History :
1)She has a history of abdominal Tuberculosis about 40 years ago. No recurrence in all this years.
2)She has undergone hysterectomy about 20-22 years ago. I am not aware of any particular symptoms for which it was done nor do I know the exact nature of operation.
3)Since last 10-15 years she has been complaining of abdominal pain after passing stool. All sorts of attempts were made for diagnosis. (I have lot of other details which I can not include in 1000 Characters) Can provide yo

Chickungunya cannot persist for 6 months. TB seems more likely. Immunity falls in old age, and there can be recurrence.
