you can train a cowlick. i had one in the middle of my hair for a long time i got rid of it by constantly pushing my hair down straight and also blow drying it straight. it took a while but it worked. and no, just having long hair will not cure it. the hair will still continue to grow in the wrong direction even if you have long hair unless you train it to go a different way. (i have very long hair)

You havent reported the place it is, if its on the returned on your neckline (nape) then transforming into that's going to help, the load of your hair will drag it down. If its on the front on your hairline then you definately wont be waiting to develop it long sufficient for it to bypass. Use some styling product like gel and be conscious to cowlick and then flatten with straighteners, you're able to need some help in the journey that your no longer used to straighteners.

With longer hair you may be able to hide or disguise the cowlicks. Visit a hair stylist and work with them to find a cut & style that will incorporate your cowlicks in a way that makes you look good.
