Is 'Limewire' free? & is it easy enough to use (especially for someone like me, who's not exactly a computer 'whizzkid'. Thankyou all for answering & helping me out.

Yeah, limewire is great but be carefull what you download. Limewire has many many viruses. After downloading the songs and you are happy, burn them onto a disc and erace them from ure hard drive. Then do a virus check.
Best advice i could give you mate. Ive been there and done that.
For gods sake dont start selling them ok. You will get nabbed by the cops and thrown into a cell for a year beside a woman called bruno!

Limewire is definately the best.
Do what I did, when you get on the basic Limewire do a search for Limewire pro and then download that for free too
The downloads are alot faster.

http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.

I really like http://allofmp3.com its not free but its about $2 an album and saves me the hassle of hunting down and individually downloading and tracking 15 tracks like I would on limewire.

Limewire is good for single tracks, if you're after full albums, Torrents are much better.
You'll have to install a program for whichever option you choose, both are pretty safe, just remember to scan any albums with your anti virus program before opening them.

limewire etc tend to have a lot of viruses & you have to be careful. Try emule (you can download this for free) & if you download archive stuff etc you are always best to scan before opening just in case. Hope this helps

limewire is good for the odd download, you just have to remember to close it down afterwards in the bottom right of your screen as well or it will cause your downloads to run at a deathly slow rate.

I have Limewire Pro and find it excellent for all my music, video and document needs. It is virus and ad-ware free.
