if I e-file my taxes will it be mailed to me or do I have to do direct deposit.

You can do it either way if you efile - have a check sent to you or have it direct deposited to your account. The check will take several weeks though.

Whether you efile or mail in your return, you still have a choice between direct deposit and having a refund check mailed to you. Fastest refund is efile, direct deposit. A mailed check takes about a week longer to get.

I e filed & had my refund direct deposited. It took 10 working days from the time I filed until the day I had my refund.

You can go either way. You can have a check mailed out or you can have it sent to your bank directly. You'll normally get your refund MUCH faster if you have it sent directly to your bank.
