The forecast for the first week of Feb. for Guangzhou indicates a daily range of 44-51 deg. F. (daily low) to 69-75 deg F (daily high).
For Shenzhen, it'll be from 49-58 deg. F to 67-72 deg F., quite similar to Guangzhou although the ranges are narrower.
It doesn't look like you'll have to deal with freezing or sub-freezing weather but the mornings can be quite chilly so some sweaters and a warm jacket (not a parka!) would do nicely. The key is to dress in layers so as the temp increases from the mid-40's up to the low 70's, you can peel away the layers and be comfortable.
The possibility of rain is very small this time of the year (almost none in Shenzhen and not over 10% in Guangzhou). You can pack a small drugstore plastic poncho if you like. It doesn't take up much room or weighs much of anything.
Good luck and have a great trip!

it should be around 10"c. mostly, indoor is not that cold, you can wear long sleeve and a cardigon is good. of course, you have a thick jacket with you when you are outdoor. so you don't need to bring so much clothes while you travel. make sure you bring a scraft to keep you warm as well.

right now it's 48F in guangzhou. with only a high of 70.weather can seem pretty chilly at 48F because of high humidity. and homes don't have any furnaces in them, trust me, i know. yes, dress in layers, maybe some light long underware. and definitely a warm coat. the fact that there are no furnaces in any homes or apartments is the key to knowing that you must provide your own heat.
