The 50's were a classic time, poodle skirts, boys hair in ducktails, old fashioned rock and roll (the best ever), the be bop, pony tails with scarves, crinoline underskirts. Serve a equal mixure of cola and milk that was really in at that time. I've drank a gallon of it and still do on occasion. It was the best of the best. Awwwwww! Memories.

Dreams - when I close my eyes and see myself in the future, I see myself singing, dancing, playing my instrument in front of a crowd....
Vaudeville - go back in time, and re-create the days when local entertainment included everything from trained animals to short skits.
Amateur Hour - or the Gong Show - with a judge (or judges) who can "ring off" really bad talent, and the audience judges the best acts at the end of the evening based on their applause.
Try NOT to do American Idol, unless you come up with a very different and clever twist. (Knowing their lawyers, if they hear about it, they'd probably close you down. Yes, even a school.)

Pick a "Panamime" theme!! My sister and I, used to do Panamime's in Jr High School..... Like, mine was......A burglar, climbing in a window, with my flashlight, looking around at everything with the squinty look in my eyes, because it was suppose to be dark, right..... Then opening drawer's... and closing them, until I found a jewelry box, and opened it, and started to putting all the different types of jewelry on, my finger, my neck, my wrist, and ears....... Then, acting like I heard a dog, so I looked at the audience with fear, and began to pretend to run, towards the window, and proceded to climb back out!!! I got an "A" for that one, because their weren't very many people who would even get up, on the stage, in my drama class in the "70s, so I guess my teacher figured if anyone even participated, they deserved an "A", period!!! HaHa My sister's was a little bit more of the "Hippie-Ara" type of panamime!!! I cant really talk about it much, or I could get into trouble, here!!! But, I'll just say when she came home and told all of us sister's we all thought it was pretty creative and cool !!! And the drama teacher (same one I had) even gave her an "A", and some of it, you wouldn't have gotten away with today, in school, so!! That was the "70s" for you!!! HaHa You could just get so creative with panamime's , you know!! And you could even paint your faces, like those one's on the streets, in like New York, that you see, on T.V., you know!!Just have fun with it!! Good luck!!! smile!!!
