Promise the literal meaning
http://dictionary.cambridge.org
to tell someone that you will certainly do something:
[+ to infinitive] He promised faithfully to call me every week.
[+ that] The government have promised that they'll reduce taxes.
[+ (that)] Promise me (that) you won't tell him.
I'll have a look for some while I'm at the shops but I'm not promising anything.
Can I have that book back when you've finished because I've promised it (= I have said I will give it) to Sara.
[+ two objects] Her parents promised her a new car if she passed her exams.
I've promised myself a long bath when I get through all this work.
[+ speech] "I'll come round and see you every day, " she promised.
"I won't do anything dangerous." "You promise?" "I promise."
"I won't have time to take you shopping this afternoon." "But you promised!"
However in this case i think your girlfriend is simply looking for an emotinal tie then a conformation due to insecurities. Also look at it as a question Promise your telling me the truth? (promise' me?)

Promise means nothing it is a word. When it comes to love, you telling her you love her should be more then enough of a confirmation!

My bf told me he love me more than anyone else and he promise me something (secret) but that promise is now a "thing of the past". Promise are ment to be broken.
never promise something. Just do it.

Sounds like shes kinda doubting your love for her. I think a way she'll see is if you get her a ring. Just a "promise ring". Dont go too overboard with one. You can get one for under $100. Tell her its a promise ring. Give it to her for Valentines Day if you can wait until then, well if she can wait until then LOL. Good luck!

If you tell her, that you love her. Then she should trust your answer. If she says, do you promise, it's if she wants a commitment from you. Ask her, is that, what she means. Good luck.

properly if brickerty considered 15 seconds, he didnt see the unique. the unique I watched became 20 minutes long, you ought to purchase from wrights church web site as you could each of his weekly movies. CBS became the 1st to goto his web site while they desperate to work out what faith perception obama had. They offered countless dvd's that spanned some years of his sermons. The reporter reported he became appalled and surprised on the content of those movies. that's been published many many situations in finished. the people seeing the 15 2d version have their eyes closed. Even on CNN they confirmed a stable 5 minutes of the speech. no longer something became taken out of context. no longer something. Are we to have faith the churchs web site is taken out of context? they made it and that they placed up all that dribble on their web site.

I'd watch out with this one - she sounds really insecure - clearly she doesnt really trust you - you saying it should be enough and she should never have to ask you if you love her. It maybe that you dont say it enough (if you do really love her?) or you say it but dont show it enough and need to be more demonstrative with her - or she may just be that type - in which case she'll be shreding your clothes the second you split up!

Promise does also mean "swear" as in to swear an oath; in this case she is asking if you promise that it is true that you love her or if you are just saying it.
