Having self esteem means having confidence in your calling.
Being prideful is a negative trait the means arrogance, ego proud, self-centered, boasting, self-motivated, selfish, a lover of self, and the lack of ability to respect which only results in self-destruction while attempting to destroy.

self-esteem is when u know ur good qualities and are also humble at the same time. when u help other people without telling them again n again what a big favour u r doing
when u r prideful or proud.........well..........if i were to explain it simply, u would looking down on other people thinking they were nothing but rubbish. finding faults with them all the time.

self esteem is when you do things to make YOU fel better b/c it's making you a better person whereas pride is looking down on someone b/c you feel they don't meet up to your certain standards and you feel that makes you better/too good for them
