Anywhere you see one large group of people at war with another, the warring factions are identified using religious labels. The problem is religion. Disarmament (nuclear) would not bring about peace, it would only eliminate the possibility of our total annhilation. If you want to end war, end religion.

If your talking about getting rid of all guns and weapons then no, we would enter into the dark ages again utter chaos would ensue. Those with the money or ability to make weapons would and there would be little to stop them. Pillaging and plundering would run rampant and if one m16 or AK47 got through whoever had it could take a whole country and would be almost unstoppable.
If your talking about the disarmament of Nuclear weapons the same logic aplies.
We have gone to far to turn back...

sathya, ahimsa - meaning truth and non violence are the two factors that will always prevail.and that's what builds nations and homes.disarmament means no more merciless killings of innocent people.certainly a peaceful world is in the making.only man seems to be taking his own time to realize that there not enough time to make the peace and let go of his egos and thirst for power and success.the day he gives that up that day is the day the world celebrates its true independence.sathya ahimsa sadachar ka.Gar Gar swar pahunchana hai.apuni dharthi apna ambar milkar nayi banana hai.meaning-take the path of truth and non-violence and lets spread the tune to every home.lets join hands and built a new land and a new sky so that the new dawn breaks through these skies and blesses the new land.

Absolutely, positively N O T. NOT.
Its the nature of man to fight with each other. I don't think anybody is going to see a peaceful world until the return of Christ.
I don't even think its possible to disarm anyone - not truly, because they will just get arms on the black market - nobody wants to be without a method of defending themselves - so even if you think someone is disarmed, they very probably are not gonna really be without arms. That just seems logical. I know I wouldn't want to be without a way to protect myself and my family, just as an individual. A whole country is sure not gonna do that, either. i can't imagine they would.

Nope. Disarmament opens the door to tyranny. Pure and simple.

No, because mankind is of a fallen nature and will use anything for weapons... To have a peaceful world satan needs to be bound which will happen at the return of Jesus Christ.

Now that we have the technology how are we going to completely eliminate it? It has been discovered already... how do you completely forget it in a mass populus? It will resurface it some manner or another.

I don't think anybody is going to disarm. When Jesus Christ comes back, then we will have a peaceful world.
